The application doesn't work. When I opened an image and selected the entire of it with the mouse, an error message appeared.
Quick MTF analyzes slanted edges. You don't have to select the entire image. Region of interest (ROI) should look like this:
Quick MTF can also search for all suitable areas, just select 'ROI/Automatic ROI detection' in the menu.
What gamma value should I use?
Use the same value that was used for the gamma correction of the image. In case of sRGB or Adobe RGB, it is about 0.455 (1 divided by 2.2). If you shoot RAW, we recommend disabling gamma correction when converting them. To test such images enter 1 in the 'gamma' field.
In the past, I used sfrmat. I've noticed that Quick MTF produces different results when testing the very same images. Why is that so?
Quick MTF allows you to fine-tune the measurement procedure in order to fit your specific needs, particularly for compatibility with other software. For results similar to sfrmat please select preset 'ISO 12233' in 'Calculations settings' dialog. Besides, the wrong gamma correction value is a common cause of such differences.
Resolution measured in cycles per millimeter looks weird.
Most probably, the wrong sensor size was used in calculations. Quick MTF first tries to extract that value from the EXIF data. If that turns to be impossible, the application will use the value specified via the measurement settings dialog: 'Settings/Calculations settings' Please check that value.

You can download it here. Until you have entered the license key, Quick MTF will work in the demo mode. After paying for the application, you will get the license key for converting the demo version into the fully functional one.
I've received the key, but it doesn't work.
First, make sure that you are entering the correct name and e-mail address. They must match those specified when buying the application. We recommend copying them from the license key file. Also make sure that you are not trying to register a different edition of Quick MTF. For example, you might have paid for Quick MTF Platform, and now are trying to register Quick MTF Full.
